This place has existed since 1984, when Mrs
Marie de Bengy, an artist and patron of the arts invited me to settle
with my works in the lands of her castle.
Thus, a decayed and abandoned building was turned into a workshop-loft.
The flooded place (marshland)was drained and dead trees gave way
to sculptures just as high, from 5 up to 10 meters. After a great
restoration job the creative area was brought to life.
70 major works can be seen spread throughout 3000 square meters
              of ground.
Some of them are still being worked on, others enjoy their place
in the sun or under the shade of a tree, fitting in harmoniously
with the site. Some works have rooted themselves : smaller sculptures
              are growing all around !
Other sculptures are so big they can not be removed. They blossom
every spring, with new textures made up of coloured pigments or
fluorescent perspex for the pleasure of the passers-by. |
